Naoto Sho (翔 直人, Shō Naoto) is the 14-year-old male protagonist and human host of Gridman in Gridman the Hyper Agent. He attends Sakuragaoka Junior High School with his friends Ippei Baba and Yuka Inoue, where they they struggle to protect the Earth from the evil of Khan Digifer.

- His actor, Masaya Obi made later cameo appearances in the Gridman Universe project.
- SSSS.Gridman Episode 6: As a customer in Rikka's Mother's pawn shop.
- SSSS.Dynazenon Episode 5: As the lifeguard in the community water park.
- Unlike his successors, Naoto's merger with Gridman didn't involve the Hyper Agent assuming Fighter Form which design reflect his host and partner's character.
