Picking up from where the previous episode left off, Fuuma reveals that Kano might've committed suicide as per rumors said, which admittedly not something to be ruled out; it all started from the day she and [[Futaba Senda]], their chorus club's charming vice president, formed a relationship that affected her and her reputation among her peers. It was even noted that Futaba kept pushing the song Kano picked out for the recital and things went downhill from there on. Yomogi and Yume express their doubt about it as such situation was not alluded in Urita's video, in which Fuuma reveals that there are more videos in the same site such video was posted albeit some eventually made private in the light of Kano's accident. Since Yume wishes to press on in her investigation, Fuuma states that he will share said videos into her account in no time. Afterwards, Yume apologizes to Yomogi for the turn of events in their investigation and acknowledged that she turned out barely knew her late sister, but Yomogi reassures that he tags along in his own volition.

Sharing what they find so far to the rest of the group at Gauma's residence, Yume states that she will continue finding out what truly happened to Kano no matter what. Worried at first since he suspects that she may not going to like the truth when she finally does (a concern Chise shares since they talked about someone whose death had something to do with bullying), Gauma suddenly praises Yume as soon as she reassures that she will thinking positive nonetheless and apologizes for being wrong about them all that time.

Somewhere in an abandoned warehouse, Kaiju Eugenicists are discussing what to do in the light of Dynazenon pilots' constant interfering and it appears they will eventually have to kill them as Onija points out. Mujina states that she will follow whatever their decision will be while Shizumu disagrees, theorizing that the kaijus' constant appearances might have something to do with Dynazenon itself. Shizumu further states that while killing their oppositions being easy, he wants to meet more kaijus and reassures that the world goes to a favorable direction.

Later that night, Koyomi and Inamoto have another diner together where the former expresses his envy towards a certain girl who bravely confronts something tough without running away unlike him (Yume). We then see another flashback between both of them where Inamoto drags an ominous-looking bag with Koyomi accompanying him. Despite Inamoto's reassurance, Koyomi was too scared to find out what's inside and fled. Back to the present, the ashamed Koyomi lamented that he should follow the example as Inamoto introduces him to her supposed husband, [[Arata Tachibana]], who then join their conversation. After a while, Koyomi makes his leave only to realize he forgot his umbrella later on because of mulling over his diner with Inamoto and Arata in his half-drunk state earlier, worrying Chise at home as she notices the strange pebble in her possession grew spikes on it. Just then, he stumbles upon Mujina who states to him that she's starving.

Back to Koyomi, he finds himself having a prep talk with Mujina at a restaurant during which he reveals his issues with Inamoto. The female Kaiju Eugenicists member relates to him when it comes about their lack of definite purpose in life all while hiding the fact that she had ulterior motives. To maintain her façade, she even paid their shared bill for the chance to sneak Dynastriker out of his grasp, much to the oblivious Koyomi's mixed reaction as he realized he did have a lot of money all along.

At Minami residence, Yume reviews videos about her late sister Fuuma shared to her, one of which about the prank revolving Kano's pair of ankh puzzles. The video looks as if the whole thing was the mere act and that Kano's part in it being scripted, but she begins to have her doubts. In the next day during the class, she sees Ranka and Kaneishi being playful towards Yomogi who happens to mind his own business which unfortunately, doesn't help her much about her own issue.

Chise asks Koyomi to let her join another Dynazenon training only to learn the latter had lost Dynastriker. Gauma is understandably upset as without it, they can't form Dynazenon to combat the next kaiju. Fortunately for them, Koyomi remembers his encounter with Mujina who evidently stole it in the previous night while he still drunk and they can track Dynastriker down thanks to its link with the rest of Dynazenon component since they all parts of a single mech. Using Dynadiver as sort of tracking device, Gauma, Koyomi, and Chise manage to find Kaiju Eugenicists in their current meeting spot (abandoned warehouse) just as they are discussing what to do with Dynastriker in their possession. Being pressed by Gauma to create a diversion as the punishment for his sloppiness on the other day, Koyomi charges head-in first into the enemy group and tackles Mujina despite of them already related to one another, resulting her to drop Dynastriker that soon retrieved by Gauma. With the stolen Dynazenon component now in their grasp, Gauma enlarges Dynastriker and pilots it to confront Kaiju Eugenicists head-on all while revealing that they have a score to settle. However, the ensuing chaos collapsed the whole warehouse, giving the enemy group an opening to escape, much to his dismay. Finally finding her own resolve to fight, she synchs her Instant Domination with Onija's. As worried as he was with his comrades' situation, Gauma rallies Koyomi, Yume, and Yomogi to form Dynazenon together to fight the threat. Unfortunately, due to combination of their enemy's greater combat capabilities thanks to Mujina's newfound ruthlesnesss and Koyomi and Yume being distracted by their respective distress, Dynazenon is incapable of fighting at its fullest under its pilots' command. Worse still, the same distress in the two kept holding the mech back even after reconfiguring into Dynarex. What Is This Pain? (この切なさって、なに?, Kono setsuna-sa tte, nani?) is the sixth episode of the SSSS.DYNAZENON.

Monster of the week: Bullbind (ブルバイン, Burubain)

Synopsis

Yume hears a rumor about Kano's death from an alumni of the chorus club which Kano was in while she was alive. Meanwhile, Koyomi awakens from a hangover and finds that he has lost Dynastriker. Gauma scolds Koyomi and he is reminded of someone he met the previous night.[1]

Summary

Picking up from where the previous episode left off, Fuuma reveals that Kano might've committed suicide as per rumors said, which admittedly not something to be ruled out; it all started from the day she and Futaba Senda, their chorus club's charming vice president, formed a relationship that affected her and her reputation among her peers.

Back to the present, the ashamed Koyomi lamented that he should follow the example as Inamoto introduces him to her supposed husband, Arata Tachibana, who then join their conversation.

Meanwhile, Yomogi accompanies his mother, Mrs. Asanaka, in visiting Mr. Kamijo where they conversed about friends Yomogi made.

As her cohorts are relieved over their close call, Mujina was visibly hurt somewhat by the confrontation.

Back to the school, Yomogi asks Yume whether she has reviewed Fuuma's video about Kano, but she has become too despondent about the matter to the point of being distant once again. She later meets Shizumu while mulling over it on the rooftop in which she lamented being not as strong as she thought to be. The Kaiju Eugenicists appeared to relate with her a bit before makes his leave due to sensing another kaiju. Catching up with Yume, the worried Yomogi attempts to comfort her somehow only to be interrupted by Gauma who phoned them about another kaiju attack.

Meanwhile, Kaiju Eugenicists managed to find their next kaiju; a winged, grey, red, and gold quadrupedal hound-like monstrosity with greater gravity power than the first one. Onija is unable to put it under his control due to its superior might until Mujina assists him as per Shizumu's suggestion, advising her that one must change for their kaijus to be able to change the world. As Onija and Munija decide to all-out with their kaiju, Juuga laments that things would not come to this.

Suddenly, everyone, starting from Shizumu, notices a red portal opening from the sky and from it, a purple giant emerges and enters the fray; the purple Primal Fighter Gridman-esque giant Gridknight himself!
